Supporting Mind and Body

At Hypnodental, we understand that oral health is influenced by far more than teeth and gums alone.

Our thoughts, emotions, habits and previous experiences can all affect the way we care for ourselves, how we experience dental treatment and, in many cases, whether we seek treatment at all.

Hypnotherapy is a natural, evidence-based approach that works alongside modern dentistry to help address many of these underlying factors. By supporting positive behavioural change and reducing anxiety, it can help patients feel calmer, more confident and better equipped to achieve and maintain excellent oral health.

For many patients, hypnotherapy becomes an integral part of their dental journey, helping them overcome barriers that may have prevented them from receiving treatment comfortably. It is also available as a standalone service for those wishing to improve wider aspects of their health, wellbeing and confidence.

"Hypnotherapy can help people explore and gradually change the thoughts, emotional responses and behaviours that may contribute to anxiety or prevent positive change."

The Mind – Mouth Connection

The relationship between the mind and the mouth is often overlooked. Yet our emotional wellbeing, behaviours and past experiences can all influence how we care for our oral health and how we experience dental treatment.

Stress may contribute to teeth grinding. Anxiety can lead people to postpone important dental care. Previous experiences may develop into lasting dental fears or phobias. Habits, lifestyle choices and self-confidence can all play a part in maintaining a healthy mouth.

At Hypnodental, we recognise this close relationship between the mind and the mouth. By understanding and addressing both, we can help patients feel more comfortable, develop healthier habits and achieve better long-term oral health.

This whole-person approach is what makes Hypnodental different. We don't simply treat teeth. We support the thoughts, behaviours and confidence that help create healthier smiles for life.

Your Journey

Hypnotherapy is a natural, deeply relaxing state of focused attention that helps calm anxiety and build confidence before and during dental treatment. During your hypnotherapy journey with us, you'll work with Dr Suniti, who guides you into a state of relaxation where your mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions.

Your first session begins with a consultation to understand your specific concerns. The practitioner will then guide you through relaxation techniques, often using calming imagery and gentle language tailored to your needs. You remain in control throughout, fully aware and able to speak if needed.

Patients find that hypnotherapy reduces physical tension, slows racing thoughts, and creates a sense of calm that carries into the treatment chair. Many report feeling more in control and less overwhelmed. We work to understand your needs in order to provide support, comfort and confidence at every step of the way.
